Me and my sons mam used to create content together. Sometimes she didnt feel like it or wanted me to record the video instead but one time she done a 12 hour shift in a factory and came home to a video ready for her to record, all the props laid out and a basic script and it must have been a late Winters night too. She was NOT happy with this at all, her feet were swollen off standing all day, she was tired, just walked home and wanted rest.
The last thing she wanted to do was record and brave an audience. That night she went against all of it and still recorded and that video grew to over 4 million views and I cant remember the exact earnings but think about a £2.50 CPM, youre looking at around £10,000 from that video alone.
This was a video she did not want to record, she was too tired to record and she could have taken the easier option of passing out on the bed for a perfect nights sleep. She never regretted taking action that night. The video not only earned a lot and got a lot of views it lifted other videos along with it and pushed them further too. Her actions had a domino effect across the channel.
Sometimes pushing against the easy route and taking the harder route it worth it. I am not saying you should always push against exhaustion but when youre "not in the mood" or "I cant be arsed" doing the thing can lead you to places you did not expect.
That one decision for me to prepare her the video even though she had been working and for her to record lead the channel to growing significantly and these actions stacked enabled us to live a YouTuber dream life. We had financial freedom for 5 years of our 20s and this happened because sometimes we chose the harder route.
