6.5K Subs on Minecraft Content Is Branching Out Worth the Risk or a Growth Killer

  • I make gaming videos mainly Minecraft Lets Plays and have around 120 videos and 6500 subscribers. Ive not branched out playing other games yet as I am scared to disrupt my channels growth. Has anyone had struggle branching out? Was it worth the risk of subs not watching and it not being picked up by youtube? Should I continue to stick to the one game to grow on youtube or will my audience just adapt? Not sure if just overthinking

  • I dont have exact experience in gaming. I have saw others where they would play League of Legends for years and have a massive subscriber base and worry about the same thing. They did go on to branch out and do extremely well with other games too on their channel. I think its likely all about how you do and slowly doing it versus a sudden change. I did have two channels where the main I wanted to do other content on it but felt it would be best on a separate channel and I ended up having two channels that I just didnt have the energy to maintain. The second channel is now dead sadly but does gain views and subs. I wish I just made a playlist and integrated.
