How does everyone achieve audio syncing in Premiere Pro? What I tend to do is clap before recording and after and line them up in editing and zoom right in and move the audio track until the claps match. I have noticed though that often they refuse to align by a millisecond or so. How can I get them perfectly aligned or is this something I have to live with or will I end up with audio drift? I have been posting as is even if it isnt a perfect but close enough match.

This is something a lot of people have spoken about lately. Content created with AI being bad or misleading etc I think we all have our own views on its usage. For me personally I really dont mind when something is created with it unless it is misleading or not labelled as AI in a way to really dupe others into believing something happened etc

What are your thoughts on this? Is AI bad or harmful for the viewers or is it purely about how you use it as a tool. That is how I see it, if used as a tool to assist I am really not bothered by it being used. I use it to help with video ideas as I dont have anyone to brainstorm with and I have used it as part of my business to help with social posts as I am really not good with sales copy etc I havent used it to cause panic or spread misinformation which is where I see it being a MASSIVE problem.

Do you use AI in your content? I have to say I do and I love using it for adding thread tags on here as I cannot stand typing them out and will hopefully help with our SEO and people finding the forums :D

I'd like to record in the upstairs area of my house but there's no air conditioning up there and it would be unbareable. Limits when I can record and how alone I can be when I do it, in winter I might be able to get up there and be comfortable though. What state are you in? TN is only in the 80's today, last two days before that were in the 90's.

UK here Symph we have no air con in our homes unless we get a portable one but most people dont own them here as its only hot a few weeks per year then its cold and rainy most of the time. May make a weather thread actually. Here in mine it is 23c but 21c outside which is fairly hot for over here. Its surprisingly bleak outside, our country is so humid. I could never be upstairs recording, must be sweltering or as we say "sweating your tits off" lol πŸ˜†

How long do you spend on planning your videos and thinking about what you will do during your videos or do you just wing them? For myself its often been thinking of something a day or so before and then seeing if anyone else has done something similar, seeing if theirs has worked well too and that validates the idea for me and then I write notes and record. Often I do this on the same day but I will be honest and say I dont spend hours per video on planning. It would probably push my content to be better if I was to. What are your processes?

So far on my new channel I am sticking to very similar videos within the niche, I have been doing 2 videos per day but will be lowering the amount as of Wednesday to settle into a normal schedule. My plan is to seed the channel with similar videos that I know do well and then continue to release but at a slower rate as time goes on. Its been VERY hard doing 2 a day plus working and family stuff on top of that but I wanted to make sure the channel has a solid base to grow from. So far so good since Wednesday I am at 57 subscribers with 10 videos and total 1433 views. I have had it where people on my only channel can request the new channels link to try and lock down only those who are likely to watch come over. I had about 20 requests for the link so the rest is organic which is amazing. Off to a very good start, really cant wait to see what the next week holds and where it goes from here.

What are your thoughts on my plan feel free to critique it or offer advice/guidance as I would love to know if people think this is a good way to do things or the opposite. Any ideas I could use as part of this strategy? Thank you guys.

I've had this strange idea that I might not do thumbnails at all but just put a bar across the top of each video with color and a label to let my audience know what type of video it is, and then just picking a decent looking screen shot to be the thumbnail. My reasoning is that now that EVERYONE is doing the professional looking thumbnail with the eye catching design etc, that a low effort minimalistic approach will actually be what stands out. If nobody clicks my vids though I'll try something else lol

(My other reason is laziness, I don't like making thumbnails lol)

I think thats very common feeling with thumbnails, I only enjoy them when they were effortless to create and stand out well etc I mess up lighting sometimes and cant be bothered to retake it. So like the bar would change based on video category yeah?

I think clean thumbnails are best where they show people fast what the video will be about I remember when I would click to a video and be upset when it wasnt the same as the thumbnail so I would leave fast

That used to be a big problem on YouTube years ago, not sure how bad it is still now but I remember there was a lot of clickbait thumbnails and the algorithm was changed so when people were mislead the video wouldnt go viral.

FAP is the guy who destroyed my channel! I will NEVER FORGET IT. No I mean, I was probably going to have to make a change soon cause my health issue was making it harder and harder to maintain what I was doing, but in the midst of that FAP thought it would be a great idea to put me in the cringe section of reddit, so I went from getting 1 or 2 occassional haters here and there to having a flood of them following me on EVERY VIDEO. With my anxiety naturally going up from the gut illness and THEN having to deal with that? I just left youtube. So you can thank him for that, not sure what would have happened otherwise.

I certainly did not know that or expect to hear it. Damn so much must have went on without me knowing or I have forgotten completely.

So it's a site where you can type words and then it will turn it into an AI generated voice for you so you don't have to talk yourself? I dunno I kinda vote we kill it with fire.... 🀑

Naw I mean, I guess if someone can use it who is too nervous to talk themselves or whatever that's ok, I just personally would like to see all these things that take the human element out disappear. And I will say that I do not watch ANY videos with an AI generated voice, the moment I can tell it's AI I click off no matter what the video is.

Im like that, I feel duped and annoyed by it at times if I didnt realise when I should have. Im all for AI assisting people though too.

I always see this on my facebook as an advertisement https://elevenlabs.io/pricing it has commercial use voice narration maybe you find it useful for doing the spotify podcast

Thats the best one I have seen myself.

Im expecting this next week to get hot again, for my new channel I have been posting 2 vids per day and intend to until Wednesday just to seed the channel properly so the algorithm knows what I make and subscribers. Not looking forward to it as I hate dripping in sweat filming especially when on camera too.

Heres a channel that will blow your mind:

    ForeverAlonePrick
I don't know what I'm doing. Then again, who really does? DFTBA
    www.youtube.com

I hope he isnt forever alone any more now. Was such a smart guy.

    Hey! I know that dork!

I sure wish I could have stuck to those schedules I always tried to make, it makes me happy to know the song had such an impact on you. I'm trying to think of videos from back then I'd be nostalgic for but I hardly remember what I was watching! There is one channel that comes to mind

    Code
Kid History: "Healthy Food" Episode 6 (True Stories)

Oh what I DO remember is how much I hated Onision, I mocked him for his pro vegan video, then years later I went vegan lol (I'm not anymore though)

Too funny we all change over time :D

I'm still in favor for having a dislike counter as it helped identify good videos / tutorials especially πŸ˜…

Lol I can see why that would work with tutorials. So many arent helpful or awfully done leading you to nothingness.

Man I'm kind of on the fence on this one. I like the idea of us being able to dislike videos because I want to know how the community is reacting to a video, but when I think about how dishonest and unscrupulous people are and the factor in AI and bots, it DOES feel awfully easy to manipulate and use it in an unethical way. Wish I had an opinion but I really don't know.

Would be good to opt into it or out of it. They must still use it for seeing whats good content versus awful but no longer show us this info.

I have no idea if this is true or not, but I'm just gonna decide it is. WOO HOO!! Now I don't have to do tags!!! πŸ‘ΎπŸ‘½οΈπŸ‘ΎπŸ’«πŸ’«πŸ’«

Good tip if you really dont like doing your tags is to set some as default so it pre-populates them with some ones you will be likely to use each time. I use AI all the time for mine now, I will paste the title into it and ask for seo optimised comma delimited tags and do same with threads here. Have to make sure to read them though as you can get some strange results at times.

Pretty sure that's gonna depend on friends and family, it's hard to imagine that we can predict everyone's friends and family will not be interested in what they create. If you are just casually talking on stream, yeah maybe this is a good idea, since those people already know you and will find nothing novel about it. But if you make something artistic or that you really think is cool (comedy sketches, witty observations, etc) You're showing a side of yourself those people don't usually see, and if it's good and people genuinely like it, wouldn't your friends and family stick around to support it? I dunno this just doesn't feel like a "one size fits all" situation to me.

That is a very good point about I think it really depends on the channel type and audience youre aiming for. Like with music it is loved more or less universally, if you have a rock channel your family and friends may love listening to it. I used to support my old best friends band loads back in the day and loved hearing his new songs so it does seem case by case. With very niche stuff like say hot wheels race track content aimed at collectors that may not be the best to share as much as they arent likely to stay around long.

The days when YouTube was much simpler, we had the Cosmic Panda update with backgrounds looking amazing, everyone wanted a YouTube design done, the videos were only just starting to appear in 720p and 1080p and our cameras looked amazing at the time but now terrible. This video brings me back to those times with one by Symph a longstanding member of my old community. This song REALLY stuck with me through the years even the opening line. It is amazing how video brings us together through time. It feels like just yesterday he was whizzing around the garden. The content was unpolished but has so much charm -
