I really hope that we can recreate some of the magic we had at Yttalk. Obviously nostalgia goggles might make some of us a bit unrealistic when we remember, but for real, we would go hours and hours just making each other crack up at absolutely nothing. And there was a genuine excitement when someone from the forum did well. I remember a buddy of mine going viral and all night me and him were talking about it and I felt like I'd gone viral I was just so excited for him. So yeah, community is everything, and I hope we can get that going here again.

I just have imposter syndrome and can't take myself seriously, however I genuinely improve my physical state every day, and it seems to be less and less as time goes on. I thought I was ready to get back out there and start posting confidently, but now that I have done a few TikToks and Instagrams I'm already having that "I shouldn't have posted that" feeling, so I don't think I was as ready as I thought. I have a feeling that the live content will help break me of this, but I'm still stalling on that, maaaaaybe I'll go live today, we'll see.

Well... I feel like I've been too hard on skimmer and I am sorry for my knee jerk reactions. Like it or not it appears that mankind is pretty split on this, and plenty of people don't see it as scummy or scammy. The idea that a few years from now we won't even know who's real and who's not just kills me inside, but yelling at people I hardly know isn't the answer. I'm trying to step back and just listen to others about it at this point, but no promises cause I'm an impulsive little shit sometimes and I can't help it 😁

Yeah which is kinda sad, we go back in time now and everything was wholesome and kind of witty and free and fun, but people watching us? It's gonna be WAP and that "my neck my back" song.... lmao

Yeah that's why I'm also interested in doing reaction content. It really seems like such a great life plan if you can just get the patreon support, play video games a few hours, react to videos and give your opinions, just do it every day, I mean once there's a built in audience then the creativity can really flow and the high production stuff can come back but I just think the whole "be online all the time" strategy seems more um.... doable, less risk to reward gap if you get what I mean.

This is why I'm happy to be pivoting to live content, when I was doing youtube, some of my videos would take almost a week to make, like the bee song, and those videos could wind up getting far less views than others I put almost no effort into. It can be really disheartening, so I love the idea of just every video being spontaneous, same level of effort, easily can be done any day any time, cause then if one does better or worse than another who cares we're doing it again tomorrow. It's that whole "I poured myself into that for a whole week and no one is watching" Feeling that just suuuuuckssss....

He's not talking about anything relevant in the two videos I've watched. He's just going places and living life. I love this kind of content, it's great, but if he doesn't ever touch on anything topical, I'm not surprised people aren't clicking the videos. I wouldn't have clicked it by the title and thumbnail, I only clicked it cause of this thread. Think this guy is gonna need to jump on a few more bandwagons if he wants to grow much further (says the guy who's never had anywhere near that many subs) Edit: I was looking at view count, 20,000, his sub count is actually not THAT far from where I was)

I love that kind of music, reminds me of "God's gonna cut you down", I just posted my first tik tok but have no way to share it and I'm not even sure it posted correctly.

You know what, I just can't with all this, I'm not cut out for this conversation, I kind of get what you're saying, it sounds like maybe you have some shred of creativity or purpose behind what you do, it's just really hard for me not to get angry and when you mentioned botting (not sure which thread in) I started seeing red. I really shouldn't post angry, I'm gonna try to just spectate in this thread for a while.

You know.... at first I was like "but I don't know those songs" however, they're all so old I know the style, and I LOVE 20's 30's and 40's style music, and putting a modern voice over the instrumental tracks could be really weird and interesting... I wonder if putting on the ritz or Whoopee are public domain... I actually know those songs and their from I think the 30's... Might look into this, it's a damn shame 50s and 60s isn't PD, now THAT I could really do.

No covers are allowed, and I can do covers, but thats NOT the same as being able to do karaoke. A cover requires me to learn the song, play the song, recreate the whole performance, mix the instruments, and would take me days to weeks to output. Karaoke would mean I could just find the instrumental track, sing it in my own voice, and upload it. I could literally put a new one out every day, that's why it's killing me there is NOWHERE TO DO IT.
