Hey everyone, made some updates based on the feedback from my last post — fixed the caption fade-in issue and added a dark overlay over the Minecraft footage (kept the same video, just dimmed it down). Also just finished a brand new video today, start to finish in under 2 hours, and would love a review if anyone has time — brutally honest feedback welcome as always. Would also appreciate any thoughts on the title, description, and thumbnail if you have a minute.

Honestly, I haven't actually defined my target audience properly yet. 😂 That's something I'm still figuring out.

The reason I started this channel is actually pretty personal. I used to be genuinely addicted to these kinds of betrayal/relationship stories myself. I spent way too much time reading and listening to them, so I know firsthand how easy it is to get pulled into a long story when the hook and narration are good. Eventually I thought, instead of just consuming them, why not try building a channel around them myself?

Some of the channels/story formats that inspired me are [https://www.youtube.com/@AITAHConfessions-d8hNEL 1], [https://www.youtube.com/@Narrativwithvictor], and [https://www.youtube.com/@OPsRedditChaos]. They're basically the kind of content I'm trying to learn from, although I'm still figuring out what I want my own version to look like.

And regarding the Minecraft question — yes, I actually am planning to use Minecraft gameplay in the background. 😂 But I don't want it to be bright, distracting gameplay that competes with the story.

My plan is to put a large translucent dark overlay over most of the gameplay so the footage becomes much dimmer, with the captions clearly visible on top. The gameplay is basically there to give the viewer something subtle to look at while the story remains the main focus.

So the goal is really audio-first storytelling with visual stimulation, rather than Minecraft content.

Your question about whether it's meant for sleep or engagement was actually useful because it made me realize I haven't clearly defined that part of the format yet.

Thanks again for the feedback. The comments about the TTS being comparable to an audiobook were especially encouraging because I was genuinely worried the AI voice would become annoying over a 30-minute story. I'll definitely experiment with slowing the pacing slightly and giving the captions a little more reading time.

I’ve just started working on a faceless YouTube storytelling channel, and I’d really appreciate some brutally honest feedback on my first video.

This video is primarily a production pipeline test, so please don't focus too much on the visual polish yet. I'm deliberately keeping the editing and visuals simple for this test.

What I'm mainly testing is:

• TTS/narration — does the voice sound natural enough for long-form content?
• Pacing — does it feel comfortable or too slow/fast?
• Playback — does the story flow naturally when listened to rather than read?
• Auto-captions — are they easy to follow and timed well?
• Story engagement — does the narration keep you interested?
• Drop-off points — is there anywhere you'd personally want to stop watching?

I'm especially interested in knowing if the TTS becomes annoying or noticeably "AI-sounding" after listening for several minutes.

Please don't feel the need to be nice. If something sucks, tell me. 😂 I'd much rather find the problems now than discover them after producing dozens of videos.

The visual production isn't the final version. I'm trying to first establish whether the core script + narration + captions pipeline actually works.
