YouTube Is Cracking Down On AI Content?! AI Voices, Faceless Channels & The Future Of YouTube

Has anyone heard about this? I am only just coming across this today. It appears YouTube are removing "AI Slop" channels and even ones with AI generated voice. Is this because theyre not labelling the videos as AI generated and abusing that or do they just not want AI content:

I havent finished watching this but its interesting so far.

What do you make of this?

Shh you use copilot haha nah I fully get why AI content like that isnt great. I know someone who likes making AI content sometimes and the videos are absolute rubbish like dancing cat in the bath etc but guess what, people watch them 😄I just hope they dont have issues eventually with channels that use AI elements to build their content like say I was talented at singing but used AI gen backing tracks as I cannot play an instrument etc

A program takes the ideas from the whole of the internet (theft) then puts it together like it was the user's original idea (it wasn't) then fake voices, fake people deliver the unoriginal concepts, and if the video rises up in the algorithm it takes away views from the content it was created out of. I can see someone using AI to HELP with the creation process, "AI give me some ideas of where to take this bridge" then uses the inspiration to create their own thing out of it or "AI I'm stuck on this line, throw me some possible places I could take it" I get that. But when the entire thing from the performance to the lyric to the production and everything was just created by a prompt? Sorry, I will never get behind that and I'm glad youtube seems to be doing something about it.

100% get how youd feel after finding out something was AI especially art like music. I would be like really and feel put off to where I dont listen again. Maybe that will change in the future though and not really for the best where AI music etc is just normal, will be a sad weird world.

A younger family member she wont use anything related to AI so its not just people being older not accepting it. Many are fully against its use. She buys vinyl and older media only too and wont use Spotify etc
