YouTube AI Video Idea Tool

  • I have just noticed this when looking at my YouTube analytics theres a way to use their AI to make video suggestions based on your top content and ideas. Has anyone used this successfully? What is your experience with it?

I just generated some ideas and the titles actually seem really on point. I am going to record one of them today for release later in the week and see works well.

  • I haven’t tested that Studio feature, so I don’t have a success result to report. For the video you’re recording, I’d turn the suggested title into a simple brief before filming: who it is for, the one thing it promises, and the scene or explanation that will deliver that promise. If you can’t point to that payoff in the outline, rewrite the title before committing to the recording.

I’d keep a note of the original suggestion and what you changed. After publishing, compare it with a few recent videos of similar topic, length and format at the same age. Look at click-through and average viewing time alongside the number of views, and note whether the traffic sources differ. That should make the experiment easier to interpret than judging it from one raw total.

What made the suggested titles feel on point—the topic choices, clearer promises, or the wording?

  • The title I got from the AI video suggestion tool is very similar to how I title my current videos, it is supposed to look at comments, what people have asked for, whats worked well and then created the ideas from the data. The video was very simple to make so I went ahead and recorded it to release at the end of the week. Video is definitely delivering on the title. I have a feeling this one could become an evergreen video as its very similar to what worked well for me on my old channel.

I think they sound better than when I go to create a title, more natural with a clear promise and a lot less like keyword stuffing haha. I definitely recommend trying the tool out even if just to get some inspiration.

  • That answers the distinction I was asking about: the topic still fits your channel, but the wording makes a clearer promise. If you share the result, showing the original suggestion beside the title you actually publish—and the reason for each change—would give other creators something useful to apply even before the numbers settle. I haven’t tested the feature myself, so I’d keep the title quality and the eventual performance as two separate observations.
