Has anyone experienced where the fluff from a windshield gets trapped within the mic capsule and then causes a constant static sound? I think thats happened to my mic again. It happened in the past and was a bit of fluff from the cover trapped. It can turn a perfectly good sounding mic into a nightmare to use. I am glad I have two setups today to work with. It kind of sounds like the wind if that makes sense. I usually suspect the XLR cables but the same cables to my backup is fine.
Does anyone know if theres a way to prevent this? It seems to be a risk every time you use a fluffy cover. Thankfully theyre not ridiculously hard to open up.
