Can a shy person make ASMR without being on camera?

I love watching ASMR but i’m not really confident enough to show myself or talk has anyone else started this way? just wondering if people actually enjoy faceless channels or do I need to learn to be on camera 🐢

Of course this is very possible, there are plenty of channels that started out faceless across many niches, education, kids, ASMR, gaming, so many did not show their face to begin with. Learning to be on camera may help you connect better with your viewers versus not being on camera as people LOVE seeing faces and emotion etc but I wouldnt say you have to be on camera to succeed. If being on camera would hold you back I would work with what you find comfortable. You never know in a few months you may be more comfortable and prefer being on camera. That feeling can easily flip over time.

I see lots of channels with no face shown so yes you can do it and many will have start this way also

Thank you this actually made me feel a lot better 😊 i think i was overthinking it and feeling like i needed everything figured out before i started i think i might just start faceless and focus on making the videos enjoyable first maybe my confidence will grow over time and i’ll feel different later
