Im expecting this next week to get hot again, for my new channel I have been posting 2 vids per day and intend to until Wednesday just to seed the channel properly so the algorithm knows what I make and subscribers. Not looking forward to it as I hate dripping in sweat filming especially when on camera too.

Good tip if you really dont like doing your tags is to set some as default so it pre-populates them with some ones you will be likely to use each time. I use AI all the time for mine now, I will paste the title into it and ask for seo optimised comma delimited tags and do same with threads here. Have to make sure to read them though as you can get some strange results at times.

Yeah lol its really nice to see. On my larger deadish channel I never get the fireworks any more when I see the dashboard but on the new channel was pleased to see it, the fireworks is always good and welcome lol 😅

Oh wow so 5 years ago and I am only just noticing properly. I can imagine, I have always thought it should be removed fully as people would deliberately dislike peoples videos to mess with them. I remember an old hater would dislike bomb every new upload.

I cant find it anywhere on the YouTube creator side in the dashboard like beside videos etc, the only place I see it is on peoples videos when viewing them. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it being used by them any more?

That is a very good point about I think it really depends on the channel type and audience youre aiming for. Like with music it is loved more or less universally, if you have a rock channel your family and friends may love listening to it. I used to support my old best friends band loads back in the day and loved hearing his new songs so it does seem case by case. With very niche stuff like say hot wheels race track content aimed at collectors that may not be the best to share as much as they arent likely to stay around long.

The days when YouTube was much simpler, we had the Cosmic Panda update with backgrounds looking amazing, everyone wanted a YouTube design done, the videos were only just starting to appear in 720p and 1080p and our cameras looked amazing at the time but now terrible. This video brings me back to those times with one by Symph a longstanding member of my old community. This song REALLY stuck with me through the years even the opening line. It is amazing how video brings us together through time. It feels like just yesterday he was whizzing around the garden. The content was unpolished but has so much charm -

I have been using this recently (since Sephirothtold me about it) for my larger channel and my new one. In the past I would have to use distributors to get content onto Spotify but now you can upload your videos directly there. They dont need to be converted to audio and theres certainly no harm uploading there to hopefully earn some more revenue from your content and repurpose it. Have a look if havent already -

I think it is always worth repurposing content like this especially when the only real effort is adding the title, desc and click upload and publish. I like to think that it is in the platforms best interest to promote said content too with it being on their servers.

I ended up getting some Tiger round base stands, I was concerned about the clip at the top not coming off but it comes off fine. They work well and feel really robust but I am waiting on the mic replacement at the moment to see how well everything works together. Yeah that is true especially for interactive things eventually it slips up or isnt enough. If you look at AI customer service, a lot of the time you end up needing a human especially with the problem is niche and not run of the mill. I can see how it would be good if someone is unable to create with their own voice due to time, not being able to physically etc but I can imagine it not being as good as the real thing, same with a lot of things where theres a substitute haha

I think AI is best used as an assistant when someone doesnt have one. Thats how I use it mainly in general for both work and personal use.

I have been looking into this a lot as I am growing my channel by invite and request only to people I know will be likely to watch properly and subscribe. For example I am not sharing the channel at all with the general public, close friends and family just older subscribers off my main channel who request for the new one via Instagram. I think this way I am able to feed the algorithm my content and allow it to make a decision as to what happens next with it. It seems that these days sharing your channel with everyone and anyone actually can hurt your channels growth or seems likely to with how you have audience retention and video abandonment etc signally to YouTube whether your video should be pushed out to a larger pool of people.

I am seeing good audience retention compared to my main channel with a lot more subscribers.

What are your thoughts on this? Have you tried it? I am LOVING doing this as an experiment so far.

I never thought id be the first to post in this forum, my new channel is 3 days old today and got the 10 subscribers achievement pop up. Its funny, no matter how many channels I have had over the years. Theres nothing like the buzz of seeing progress like this even small amounts I appreciate and get excited for.

Im going to review it based on it being on your website homepage not as content for YouTube or TikTok as that wouldnt really apply the same. So overall I think it does its purpose which is to show your nail work to potential clients. The nails look great, the lighting is good although in some shots could be a little better. I particularly like the outdoor shot because your clients will obviously be outside with their nails so its nice see them looking this way in natural lighting.

First impressions: Looks presentable, quality is a little low but understandable for a homepage video as needs to be a small filesize.

Strongest part of the video: I like the outdoor shot the most, gives it a real feeling instead of 100% studio shots.

Editing: Editing is fine works well for what it is.

Audio quality: N/A

Pacing: Relaxed pacing which I think is important the hands arent all over the place moving fast which would be unsettling.

Personality/Presentation: Presentation is clean looking and looks good to me.

Hook (first 15-30 seconds): Not really applicable, the first nails look good and well designed etc

Parts that felt slow: The pacing is obviously meant to be slow.

Anything confusing: Not really

Audio/Visual improvements: I would say the lighting could be improved and the actual quality but often quality is sacrificed for small filesizes.

Viewer retention ideas: I would consider having more nails shown off like different types that you do but other than that it fulfils its purpose very well.

I have been discussing this with a friend today about how AI can now replicate our voices by taking a sample and then recreate us speaking in a way that sounds incredibly realistic. This obviously opens up a lot of security concerns especially around scams, impersonation and fraud which is quite worrying.

That said I can also see the other side of it. For podcasts and content creation, it seems like it could be an incredibly useful tool. Imagine being able to fix mistakes without re-recording, update old episodes, create content more efficiently or make AI videos while still keeping your own voice and style.

Im curious where everyone stands on this. Do you think AI voice cloning is something creators should be embracing or do the risks outweigh the benefits?

Would you actually use an AI version of your own voice for your own content?
