Anyone saw this? I heard not only is there thumbnail and title A/B testing, coming soon is VIDEO A/B testing so we can upload different edits and lengths of the same video and test its performance. I dont know what to make of it this to be honest. Its even more work for us as creators but if it helps us grow then could be beneficial. Imagine the video has a 1 min condensed version, an hour long version and a standard 15 mins one.

Would you actually use this? What are your thoughts? Is it too much?

Anyone using channel memberships? I am thinking of doing them on my main channel with a different offering so it doesnt mess up my strategy. Just hope the videos dont mess with the performance of my actual videos. I am VERY apprehensive about this just incase YouTube sees poor performance on members only videos and the whole channels performance dips. What have you experienced since using them? Any issues etc? Are they worth using or are they just extra workload for you?

Really happy with the results of my 2 new channels, ones starting to earn fairly well and will be able to cover things I need for the channel and the other will be monetised within a month at the current rate of growth. Really love that I have been able to fully start over and get 2 channels performing rather well. It was definitely the right decision.

I am curious if I start doing members only content say these videos perform poorly get poor watch time and barely any views, will this have any impact on the channels public videos? Anyone have experience with members only videos on YouTube? Really dont want to mess my new channels performance up for the sake of channel memberships.

I have been watching a video there from YouTube but I am unsure what I think when it comes to pivoting content. In my experience and thoughts we have a channel on X subject and people expect X content type from the channel. When switching to another niche/pivoting content I have noticed views completely tank in my own experience.

Most views dont come from the subscribers of the channel most are non subscribed BUT the initial testing pool seems to be a group of the subscribers and if that small pool arent interested I am fairly sure YouTube doesnt open the video up to a wider audience at that point so with content/niche pivoting surely the initial test pool are unlikely to watch the new niche/content and therefore the algorithm isnt as likely to push it further.

What are your thoughts on this? Is it worth pivoting in your experience or would you just create a new channel? Does the existing audience have THAT much of an effect on the performance of videos? Obviously I dont know how the algo works just what I have heard and saw etc

I have been getting pain in my ECU tendon lately due to possible over-exercising/bad form doing pulldowns due to weight imbalance and I think my editing workloads aggravating it. I am looking into some jog wheel style devices so I can just use my right hand while editing. Anyone got any experience with these? I have looked at the Shuttlepro v2 but it looks very old now and unsure if I should go with a cheap modern device instead.

I dont get this, I dont have a single Shorts video on this channel yet its earned a penny. Its so odd. Anyone got any ideas as to how or why I have earned 1 pence. I would just like to understand it haha 🤣

Love seeing the progress so my new channel is currently at 2192 as of 24/9/2026, my small business which I dont promote at all is at 43 subs and my new project channel is at 289 subscribers.

My old channels are now deleted and one is all unlisted and losing subs fast (intentionally).

Its going well so far. I have had a lot of comments on one of my new channels asking where the videos have gone which have been a bit annoying but understandable as it can be quite confusing to see a channel just disappear more or less. I chose to set all videos to unlisted so they remain in playlists for now but will disappear eventually. My old TikTok is fully gone that matched the channel. 185k followers as well but I am glad I chose this.

I have made a few videos in shops but I have made sure that its not too obvious and went at times when hardly anyone was there. I made a video in Ikea at the Metrocentre 3 years ago. Was a hilarious video, was opening the fridges and all sorts. I do think its all in our minds worrying what others may think because we are recording.

Been so many years since I have played/saw WOW last time I played was whenever Cataclysm just came out. Giving your vid a proper watch to support you.

Me and my sons mam used to create content together. Sometimes she didnt feel like it or wanted me to record the video instead but one time she done a 12 hour shift in a factory and came home to a video ready for her to record, all the props laid out and a basic script and it must have been a late Winters night too. She was NOT happy with this at all, her feet were swollen off standing all day, she was tired, just walked home and wanted rest.

The last thing she wanted to do was record and brave an audience. That night she went against all of it and still recorded and that video grew to over 4 million views and I cant remember the exact earnings but think about a £2.50 CPM, youre looking at around £10,000 from that video alone.

This was a video she did not want to record, she was too tired to record and she could have taken the easier option of passing out on the bed for a perfect nights sleep. She never regretted taking action that night. The video not only earned a lot and got a lot of views it lifted other videos along with it and pushed them further too. Her actions had a domino effect across the channel.

Sometimes pushing against the easy route and taking the harder route it worth it. I am not saying you should always push against exhaustion but when youre "not in the mood" or "I cant be arsed" doing the thing can lead you to places you did not expect.

That one decision for me to prepare her the video even though she had been working and for her to record lead the channel to growing significantly and these actions stacked enabled us to live a YouTuber dream life. We had financial freedom for 5 years of our 20s and this happened because sometimes we chose the harder route.

That looks really cool, im excited to get this set up. I aint sure how well YouTube livestreams perform these days with monetisation too. If the trial goes well I may try and get a cheap laptop to run 24/7. I want to try something similar to the channels that stream rain sounds 24/7.

I am seeing decent results over the weekend. Last week I posted 4 videos and one has flopped even though it was based on another best performed and the others that I didnt expect to do so well, one in particular has actually grown a load of the weekend and now almost at 4k views. Not quite sure how as the video isnt amazing nor stands out against the rest. Think its best to chalk it down to the viewers enjoyed that one a lot and the one that didnt perform less so. When I get the time to record I love blasting out content, I am VERY tempted to do a full week of videos this week with variations of my most popular video type just as a test. I should have the time too. Tempted to have a build up to it though or maybe keep it for Halloween week.

Has anyone ever thought about this? Kids now are watching AI content and enjoying it so when theyre older they might not care at all whether or not something was created using AI.

When I was a kid we were only just starting to get phones and internet access. It was something we had fun with and dabbled in and a lot of it felt strange but exciting. Kids now are growing up with the same technology but to them its just life. It isnt new or exciting it just exists.

Think about CGI in films. Years ago it was a cool thing to see in a film and now no one is really wowed by it.

Maybe similarish to how we have fridges. We grew up with them so theyre normal for us but if we showed someone from the 1800s a fridge. Theyd probably be buzzing to see one and might even question whether it was actually legit going to work etc

On my new channel I started it off with this strategy: Post 14 videos over 2 weeks to feed the algorithm so it knows what kind of channel it is and then slow down to 2 per week. Recently I have been able to record a lot more so I have been posting more, 3 or 4 videos per weeks but I get the feeling that they dont get pushed anywhere near as much, less people see them maybe as theres too many and I feel the comments lack enthusiasm. Is it too much? What do you think about posting too many vids?

I dont think I have ever tried OBS on its own, I will install them and see what will work best. I do want to have the whole subscriber ticker thing. Not sure what else is new since I last used it. It has been around 7 years now.

Are you able to stream to YouTube from them? I want to create a 24/7 livestream with several videos on rotation/looping for as long as I have the PC on.

I havent used any streaming software in years, is Streamlabs any good still?

Thats excellent congrats! I feel that way with my socials a LOT. I have so many projects on the go and family etc so it can build up and burn me out at times and that is when I need a break. You could maybe take a break from your social media while transitioning and come back with more ideas and a solid plan for growth.
