So there goes long form content and just letting it play in the background cause every 10 minutes you either listen to 5 minutes of ads or go over to your computer and hit skip, there goes music videos cause who wants an ad interrupting a song, it's seriously one of the most disgusting decisions youtube's ever made and totally anti-creator/anti-consumer. Yeah I listen to a Final Fantasy for sleep video and that has mid rolls on and its a pain, it done it the other day on a 6 min song lol and I wasnt mid singing to it. Its good creators can switch it off but very annoying when below the threshold to monetise as I want them off ASAP.

I use it myself although I dont really agree with it. I consume a lot of YT on a phone and TV which has the ads so it isnt too bad. Just when on PC I have them blocked.

If I can get the guts to do it I may try just going live with a webcam and guitar, that might be less taxing on my wifi I dunno, but that's a whole different ball game and I can guarantee I'll be like 5 times more nervous doing that lmao

Can you do a test stream and check the stats in OBS? Can go to View> Stats and should show you some to work out if its hardware or an internet issue.

Is the guy at the start meant to sound so low, the game audio sounds a lot lower than you do on my end at least. Title could do with more in it and not sure if part 1 is needed. Could use something like First Time Playing Fallout New Vegas Was A Chaotic DISASTER! etc

EDIT: One critique would be to be up closer to the camera if possible so we can see your face reactions a whole lot more. If can do that would be excellent!

Yeah man I get it, it can be nice to look back. I used to record being out at castles and some of my fave places but I can recreate these memories and enjoy the ones I have. I do agree I may look back and think damn why did I bother. Shockingly the 185k TikTok channel wasnt earning more than few quid a month.

I want a new identity and brand man everyone knows me as my old one and I dont want that going forward, really want it fresh and new. I am not overly happy with my previous content either, some of it is slightly sensual and not really what I want for my new brand. Dont blame me haha I get the frustration of trying something and it not working right away. You need to make content for the new one around a specific subject as much as possible and for an exact audience. 1 video may not blow up instantly as YouTube only has that one video to go off of when it comes to what your channel is about.

It could be useful to ask yourself who is your viewer, why would they be watching? How does my video cater to them and what they are looking for and do I deliver it? Could it be delivered differently at all?

Can you share the video either here on privately with me and I can have a watch and look at its meta info etc can see if anything obvious stands out before your upload tomorrow

100% get how youd feel after finding out something was AI especially art like music. I would be like really and feel put off to where I dont listen again. Maybe that will change in the future though and not really for the best where AI music etc is just normal, will be a sad weird world.

As I type this I am running a Chrome extension to mass delete all TikTok videos in one swoop instead of doing it manually. I am saying goodbye to 185k followers, 3 million likes and multiple millions of views on the platform. I feel so sad doing it as I have had the account for years. I know its just an account but it has been a part of my life for so long as saying goodbye is like when you remove someone from WhatsApp because theyre not going to be in your life any more. I feel exactly like that. It is a goodbye but welcome to a new start. I am starting over on TikTok as well as YouTube and will continue to work on my projects and grow in new ways.

What has your YouTube journey been like so far? Whether you are just starting out or have been creating for years, id love to hear your story. What made you start your channel and what has YouTube taught you along the way?

For me its been VERY all over the place. I started years ago with a YouTube background design channel sharing the designs to get website traffic and then had a small community channel for my old YouTube forum, I then went onto creating a kids channel with a large subscriber base (largest ive ever had beyond dreams for me), then I went on to making content in my current niche. Its been a rollercoaster of some of the biggest highs and lows and here I am restarting in my niche as my old sub base was dead. It has taught me a lot of patience and shown me that I can be very resilient and adaptable when it comes to changing course. Its taught me that I dont need to solely create within one niche too. Persistence and belief in yourself pays off.

Thank you man honestly my strategy has paid off with the initial massive effort then relaxing into a schedule. If I can do it, so can you and anyone else too. I want everyone here to be able to have the same as me, everyone is really and I believe that. My last video performed quite "poorly" compared to the rest but fingers crossed for todays

Shh you use copilot haha nah I fully get why AI content like that isnt great. I know someone who likes making AI content sometimes and the videos are absolute rubbish like dancing cat in the bath etc but guess what, people watch them 😄I just hope they dont have issues eventually with channels that use AI elements to build their content like say I was talented at singing but used AI gen backing tracks as I cannot play an instrument etc

That is annoying when sites do that, tends to be anything AI related though as it will cost them to provide the service.

I think theres pros and cons to both, an established game with a community and following has people searching about it and people obsessed with the game, the characters etc but at the same time a new game you could enjoy building your own community alongside it. It will feel fresh and new and not like youre redoing what everyone has already done. I am in two minds about this, the cons would be with a game that been out a while the community may be stagnant or dead where people are bored playing it and seeing it as its been "played to death" and the cons of a new game is the game may never become popular at all. I am curious to see what others think about this, its a tricky one.

A lot of creators have different approaches to being on camera and filimg. For me I do show my face but I also have it hidden for an entire channel as well. I tend to go between the two depending on the channel. Some people prefer showing their face as they feel it connects with their audience/viewers much better and faceless can help people focus on the actual content, both can deffo work.

What about you? Do you show your face?

How do you store your video ideas? Do you tend to find it easier to just use your phone or do you have a pad of paper? I tend to "write" them down on paper but honestly my writing is that bad I sometimes cannot read it back when I need it.
