I ended up getting the Rodes but sadly one is faulty and the replacement was faulty too. I really want a properly working pair. I am seeing what the warranty repair service is like but so far theyve not responded.

My brother got one too second hand, I cant find them anywhere now other than Ebay and Vinted.

I have felt quite demoralised about posting there with the views tanking so much. Thats the only real change that I can see happened on the channel with the linking to Spotify. I did start posting less often but I cant see that damaging the channel as much. I have saw a lot of larger channels disappear and come back and still retain high viewership so unsure there.

That may be true, I have seen similar channels do so well though where theyre living their life and recording it and doing viral sounding titles etc and they have gone far. Maybe this guy hasnt found his audience like other channels. I know that many watch some of the larger ones because of how they relate to the creator and find the creator cool or fun to watch.

I have noticed the option to enable the community on my new channel, I have never used or saw this before, is this like a forum on your own channel where your audience can post about your videos etc and chat? Really curious. What are your thoughts on it? Good to enable or a waste of time? How do you use it yourself?

Thats how I felt with it for a LONG time like everything I posted didnt get the same traction that it used to even around previously popular and good subjects. I done a lot of audiences requests too which may have hurt the channel as many of them were VERY random. Thats why I am so fussy about locking down into a niche now at the start and then eventually branching out. It would be like a gaming channel starting with 1 game, then once has a larger audience finally spreading into similar games and then beyond.

Hmm I am unsure if classed as Karaoke but there is a woman who plays the harp live busking and she plays anime theme songs on it and sometimes does guitar at home. She seems to be fine on TIkTok doing this but I am unsure about on YouTube if that would be allowed.

To be honest I am really unsure if it could escape how it was performing. I was getting decent views for a long time, then I linked the channel to spotify as an artist accidentally and the views tanked from that point. They did stabilise for a while but recently when posting I was barely scraping 1k views with good content and content that would have worked in the past. I could have tried to be honest but I felt like my subscribers werent watching or clicking in and off videos. I am really unsure if I could have stimulated growth again in the channel. It is still there and I am open to trying to get it going again but I am unsure if I should just let it die off. I dont think it will punish an older channel but I am unsure. It always felt like the channel was broken but thats something I have come up with without facts.

Check this guy out, his thumbnails are great, the channel presentation is, the videos are excellent too I cannot really fault the channel or videos at all, really good storytelling and everything is so well done, I instantly want to follow his journey:

Really admire channels like this but the views are not what I would have expected at this level. I wonder why it hasnt gone viral. I cant see why he isnt getting a lot more views.

I havent heard of smm panels. Is that like view botting or something? If it isnt dodgy practice then I am all for sharing it.

With me starting a new channel I am thinking of using this as part of my strategy, looking at my top 20 performing videos on the old channel and recreating them in 2026 to the best of my ability, everything would be better in terms of camera quality, colour grading, audio and SEO as back then I wasnt sure what I was doing.

Is this a good strategy as I know it has worked before for those videos and redoing them I would hope that they could perform as well as they did on my old channel or with any luck, even better.

Anyone done this before even if just redoing videos on the same channel?

The audience retention is a lot higher than I would expect and has been in the past. My plan is to keep it to request only via my larger channel (I have had some subscribers share it on my posts but have removed them as I wanted to keep it fully request only until 1st August) and then make a post sharing it to all after a month so it has the best initial growth possible without people subbing purely to support if that makes sense.

Ive saw people doing challenges and I dont understand a lot about TikTok lives. Theres quite a bit to learn about them as a viewer and a creator. I often felt like I was doing too much of the same things each time. People still showed up and seemed happy to watch the same stuff over and over but for me I felt like I wasnt adding any new value if that makes sense.

Last week I started my new channel. I have a channel in the same niche with about 65000 subscribers. I decided to start fresh as the channel felt like there was no way of getting over 1k views per video again, I accidentally linked it to Spotify as a music channel years ago and since that point it completely dropped in views. Was a massive mistake on my part and I couldnt undo it for years. The channel used to perform really well up to that point and I kept at it hoping that eventually it would change.

I am now wondering what I should do with the channel. I am very tempted to post less focused videos on it and just throw experiments at it to see what happens every so often and keep my new channel laser focused with good SEO and making videos I believe will perform well. I am unsure if I should just fully stop posting as I do have a sub base there and earnings too.

What are your thoughts? I feel so stuck with this and unsure what is best to do. At this point with starting again I dont mind what happens in terms of views on it any more but I dont want to delete it as I know my videos are helpful and still help people.

It seems to be working for me so far, my retention is a lot higher than was on my larger channel which I would hope for and expect with only select few knowing about it. Really excited to see its growth like this over the course of the month 6 days in and the results are promising.
