decent if you already have a following, depends how "alive" your channel currently is, if starting fresh its probably a nightmare, especially on twitch. For twitch growth its imo best to pick a game thats not so popular and less competition and stream as much as you can, make tiktok or youtube shorts and farm viewers from those platforms from highlights of the game play.

yea i just started streaming on twitch, started with youtube recently, twitch people expect hours at a time forsure

yea doesn't matter short length as far as I know, shorts in general make 10x less money per view but you get alot more views to make up for it.

I find if you can loop a short or tiktok video thats around 5-10 seconds long they tend to do alot better, basically take the last second or 2 end of the short, cut it in half then put the end half at the start and the other half of the end where the start would normally be.

Heads up for people not familiar with streaming, you can use obs to duel stream youtube live on vertical at the same time as horizontal, the built in option in live studio sucks as it doesn't give proper algorithm reach. There's tutorial online to set it up and you use 2 stream keys at the same time, its a small hastle but you will get used to it.
