Will This Format Work on TikTok?

  • Hi everyone I want ask if this type of video is good idea for TikTok. I was thinking to show client nails before and then after finished with simple free piano music in background nothing complicated. Only thing I worry about is maybe some clients not want their nails on TikTok. I can ask before recording but not sure if many people will say no. Do you think this format is good or should I do something different?

  • I would ask them if theyre happy with them being featured or make that a part of your booking process that clients understand their "finished" nails may be displayed and ask if theyre happy with the before images shown or videos. People LOVE before and after videos, I like seeing satisfying car cleaning videos, house cleaning videos etc I think it will work well showcasing your work but what would work even better is bringing them into your salon via video, making them feel at home, showing them behind the scenes even if you think its boring like sharing your day if youre off to purchase polishes or equipment, talking about hygiene at your salon, sharing photos even real prints of clients nails off via video like come check these clients nails out and having real photo prints to show off maybe. That may work.

  • I tried to do this for past 2 weeks and clients are happy. I am not sure if they need to sign something to say its okay to share online or if its accepted to just post it without formality.

If theyre happy and its working stick at it. If theyre happy with it I wouldnt worry too much about signing contracts etc for social media content. You could add something on your website when booking to say that social media photos may be taken during appointments. I am unsure on the laws and whats normal around this though. Make a promise to yourself to post however many you can per week too and it should grow :D

I will have a look at them when I do your session :D I find no matter how much you do to make your video great, the tags and desc great theres just some that dont do so well, it could be the season, the time you posted, the initial audience not watching, all sorts.
