Is it worth having a video intro?

    I see people using intro clips on their videos all the time. Is it worth to make a start clip to open the video or is it best to show content without any intro, like these ones or is it extra work

    Im really undecided when it comes to video intros. I used to think they were fantastic but now I think it depends whether you like them or not and want to risk potentially losing someone in the first few seconds to an intro. I think it varies with niches, the beauty niche and for businesses I think works really well. For anything where you really need their attention I am unsure if it is worth it unless it is a high energy intro. Gaming intros were massive back in the day, everyone wanted one, I dont know what gaming channels do now as I dont watch them. I know that attention spans are a lot shorter and declining so the few seconds is more important than ever before.
